The village of Lealholm sits at a crossing point on the River Esk in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The Lealholm Farm Produce and Horticultural Society annual show is held on the first Saturday in September.This panorama is from the 4th September 2004 and shows the preparation before opening - Judging is taking place in the marquees, so there is a brief period of calm whilst the stall holders have their lunch and the stewards rush around doing last minute jobs before opening. Steam engine displays are setting up in one corner, whilst at the other end of the pitch there is a bouncy castle and chip pan fire demonstration by the Fire Brigade. Lealholm Show is well noted for it's annual Duck Race on the River Esk where up to 1000 numbered toy ducks race to a finish line down stream.
