I was 'aving a drink then.....The biggest show is no more - Mark and Lard have left the afternoon slot on Radio 1, but as I have a wee bit of space on my server, here's a few lush samples you won't want to be without during those long lonesome Colin & Edith free afternoons.... ;-)

Creaking Door - Ohhh Michelle!

M&L Backing track - Ahh the sound of royalties in Cornershop's back pocket. You won't find this elsewhere... unless of course someone's nicked it for their own website....!

On the final Biggest show, Travis covered Keene's "Somewhere only We Know". However they also changed the tune to fit. With a bit of rejigging of the lyrics and chorus, you can now do karaoke to the original!

So sing along at home and wipe that lonesome tear from your eye (Lyrics start at 23 seconds into the track).

Music

They came across
On One FM
Two unattractive and untalented men
They made us laugh a little bit
Although at times they were obviously sh-

-shamefully plagurists and a wee bit pissed
But all the same they will be terribly missed
Oh Mark & Lard
It's going to be quite hard
To say goodbye to you
Is tearing us apart

Who dealt the cards
The fatal blow
Who took away our favourite radio show
Show me the man
Who pulled the plug
And I will show you Britian's biggest mug

Oh Mark & Lard
It's going to be quite hard
To say goodbye to you is tearing us apart
Do you have to go
From the radio
You made us high and now all we feel is low

So if you have a minute why don't we go
Talk about it on the Mark & Lard show
Listen to the sound of lunatics
So where do we go
After Mark & Lard go
After Mark & Lard go

Oh Mark & Lard It's going to be quite hard
To say goodbye to you is tearing us apart
Do you have to go
From the radio
You made us high and now all we feel is low

So if you have a minute why don't we go
Talk about it on the Mark & Lard show
Listen to the sound of lunatics
So where do we go
After Mark & Lard go

oooooooooooooooooooooooo

So where do we go
After Mark & Lard go
After Mark & Lard go
After Mark & Lard go
